Here's the Story~

Kiara continued to suckled the abandoned cub her mother, Nala, had found during a hunting trip. One day, Kiara noticed the nameless cub was growing and would soon need to be named, "Kovu, don't you think we need to name her? I don't want my daughter to grow up with the name Cub all her life." Kiara stated to her waking mate. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I agree." he said more sleep filled then awake. "I like Asha." Kiara announced knowing her mate had fallen fast asleep again, "hmm, your loss." was all she said to her slumbering mate, before picking up Asha and leaving the den, it was the first time since her mother had brought Asha to the pride. Outside her parents were laying together in the sun. "Mother, Father." she called through the mouth full of dark full that was Asha. Her mother was the first to notice them coming and instantly thought something terrible had happened. "What's wrong? Has something happened?" she called, frightened. "Yes, Mother, something has happened. We've decided it was time to name the cub." Kiara stated after settling down with er parents around her. Simba groaned at the mention of the cub. "What's wrong with Father, Mother?"
"He doesn't want to admit he's getting old and will very soon have to give up the Pride to Kovu." Kiara had to laugh at her Father's reason for not wanting anything to do with her daughter. "So what have you named her?" Nala asked eagerly. "Well Kovu wouldn't give an input so I've named her Asha." Kiara announced, holding her head high with pride. "Asha means "Life" doesn't it? You've named her for-"
"-Surviving out there by herself and because she is my life." Kiara said nudging her cub toward her when she started wandering.
